GLACIER
Whoa, Glacier is going to be hard to summarize, because honestly it is so incredible. From the sights, to the hikes, to Going to the Sun Road, there is just so much to unpack here. This is why we have 11 full length episodes on the park. It helps that we were able to spend a week here and that through our friendship with Becky Lomax, had not only some amazing pointers and experiences, but some beautiful time for us to connect and get to know each other all the better.
Glacier is vast and its worth it to know this before planning a trip. Our original plan was to head to Glacier for the same amount of time in June of 2020 but the pandemic had other plans. We are so glad we waited to go and that we still kept the original amount of time for ourselves to enjoy the park. We couldn’t imagine doing what we did in less than a week (a week of straight hiking, with really no rest days) as there was just so much to experience.
To encapsulate Glacier here would not only be difficult but a disservice to the park. A quick highlights real of our time in the park includes fourth of July at Logan Pass, a flat tire the morning we were supposed to hike the Highline, meeting a fellow NJ educator on the trail, getting up close and personal with a glacier (no, not Grinnell). and climbing the towering heights of the park on so many days. Take a listen to our episodes and explore a little more for yourselves.
Glacier National Park is on the traditional and stolen land of the Blackfoot and Ktunaxa amakis people.
