BIG BEND

A jewel on the Rio Grande, Big Bend National Park is a not as visited national park as some of its southwest brothers and sisters. While the park is a little more remote, this quiet lends itself to miles of trails and vast open vistas for you to feast your eyes upon. In our three days within Big Bend we hiked in the Chisos Mountains, explored the canyons along the Rio Grande, and wandered through a landscape full of cacti (lucky for us, they were all in bloom) and other desert sites. We were absolutely floored by the variety of landscape within the park as much as we were taken with the incredible plants and animals within as well.

Big Bend National Park is on the traditional and stolen land of the Jumanos, Coahuiltecan, Mescalero Apache, Lipan Apache, and Chisos people.
